G. M. Heinzelman, left, and John Spears, both of Snyder, Texas, directors of the Permian Basin Oil Association, celebrated the first anniversary of the discovery of oil in the Sharon Ridge pool of Southwestern Scurry County. The men are standing in front of a building. Mr. Heinzelman is wearing a double-breasted suit with a checkered tie. Mr. Spears is wearing a pinstripe suit, a cowboy hat and eyeglasses.
