The Slaton, Texas, rodeo was held June 28 and 29, 1940. Shown is a view of the parade. A group of men are riding in a car in the middle of the road. The man holding the United States flag is Joe Teague Senior, the mayor of Slaton, Texas. An unidentified man is holding a Texas flag. Spectators are standing at the side of the road, watching the car pass by.
