Description
Razing of Burrus Mills. Concrete and brick grain elevators being knocked down next to a brick warehouse or office building also being knocked down. The rebar reinforcement in the exposed edges of concrete is sticking out. This view of the upper level of the elevator building appears to be lumber such as long 2x4 planks that are pegged or screwed onto the superstructure inside. There are long ladders attached to the walls, made of 2x4s uprights and short 2x4 cross members. The foreground is strewn with piles of bricks and railroad ties. Burrus Mill and Elevator Company was the maker of Light Crust Flour and the sponsor of the radio program that featured the western swing group called The Light Crust Doughboys.
