Description

Friends from of upwards of 150 miles thronged to Throckmorton's twelfth annual County Fair and Rodeo. Nearly the entire ranch population of the county is out on the street for the opening day parade. The horses are mounted by young cowboys and cowgirls, decked in their western wear. The street is crowded with spectators and parked automobiles. Several of the stores have Dr. Pepper signs on the marquee. There is a coffee shop, café, shoe store, and a variety store.
