Description

Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show. Sale of Champions. Amon Carter, at the microphone in the role of auctioneer. To the right of Mr. Carter is Earl Gartin of Greensburg, Indiana. The men are wearing suits and tie with inner collared shirts and hats. Mr. Gartin is wearing eyeglasses. Mr. Carter is resting his hands on the table in front of him and is holding a gavel in his left hand and a cigar in his right as he speaks while Mr. Gartin smiles and looks on with a cigarette in his mouth. There are other unidentified men behind and beside them, some are seated while others are standing.
