Description
Polytechnic High School vs. Arlington Heights High School basketball game with Luther Scarborough and Joe Burdett. In the picture, Poly's Scarborough (3) dribbles the ball past Arlington Heights' Burdett (11). The ball is in the air and Scarborough is about to bounce the ball with his left hand while he makes is way from the other players on the court. There are other unidentified players on the court and an audience watching the game. All the players are wearing their school's jersey, socks, sneakers, and some have knee pads. Polytechnic won 7-AA half open, 45-42. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, February 4, 1948.
