Description
In this picture, TCU's Gene Schmidt, tall and blond holds ball in his hands with his leg in the air about to score a two pointer, Monday night game at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. University of Texas' Al Madsen (16), makes an attempt to stop the shot with his right hand stretched to block the ball. Schmidt made the shot. There are other unidentified players in the background attempting to take action. University of Texas won the game 45-39. All the players are wearing their respective school's jerseys with sneakers and socks. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 13, 1948.
