Amon Carter Riverside High School vs. Fort Worth Technical High School basketball game with Weldon Basinger (right). In the picture, Clifton Murphy (left) places his left hand in a grabbing motion on Basinger's lower arm and wrist as Basinger tries to push the ball away from him. There is another Poly player on the court wearing Jersey number 12 behind the other two player mentioned and a player with jersey number 5 to the side of Murphy. There are tall windows lining one side of the gym and a crowd is seated on the sidelines. All players are wearing jerseys , socks with shoes, and Basinger is also wearing knee pads. Outplayed in the first half, Eagles rallied to win, 37-31. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 10, 1948.
