Shown here is W. L. Hughes, teacher and acting head of the biology department at North Texas Agricultural College (NTAC). In the picture, Hughes is sitting on a chair with his right hand resting on the desk. He is wearing a suit and tie. In the background is a divided lite window with a view of a tree with fallen leaves and on the window sill are small jars with liquids in them. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, March 25, 1947.
