B. F. Wilkins, 74-year-old retired Texas & Pacific Railway (T&P) conductor and wild husky dog "Smoky", Forest Park Zoo, Fort Worth, Texas, are pictured here. Mr. Wilkins is a patron of this zoo for 18 years, makes daily trips to the zoo to feed and talk to his animal friends. He is wearing a suit and tie and holding a small sack of food. He is meeting and feeding his pal "Smoky" some vanilla wafers. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, February 11, 1947.
