Description
Warren S. Spice is a seventeen year veteran of the United States Army. He was wounded three times during his service and is receiving a terminal leave check. Mr. Spice enlisted in the Army in 1928. He was stationed at Panama, Nicaragua, Haiti, China, and Hawaii prior to the war. He was stationed at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 when the Japanese attacked. He was wounded in the leg by machine gun fire. He was later sent to England in 1942 where he fought in the Dieppe Raid and was again injured. In 1944 he received disability retirement as a commissioned officer. Mr. Spice is receiving a cash payment of $557.79, the largest reported terminal leave check. He is dressed in a double breasted suit.
