Description

Image shows Three families evacuated their apartment on Alston Avenue early Sunday afternoon. A fire was ignited when a match was thrown into a waste basket in a second floor apartment. Occupants and neighbors are seen carrying furnishings from the building. There is a fire engine parked out front and a ladder leading to a second floor balcony. The building is owned by O. W. Adams. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition August 5, 1940.
