    Description

Three families evacuated their apartment on Alston Avenue early Sunday afternoon. A fire was ignited when a match was thrown into a waste basket in a second floor apartment. Occupants and neighbors are seen carrying furnishings from the building. There is a fire engine parked out front and hoses snaked around the lawn. A man is climbing on a ladder leading to a second floor balcony. The roof is ablaze and dark smoke dances above. The building, owned by O. W. Adams, suffered $1,000 damages.
