    Red Cross Gray Ladies assembling presents for the United States Public Health Service Hospital are (from left) Mrs. G. N. Westerfeld, Mrs. Nelson R. Thornton and Mrs. R. G. Mayer. The three women are shown standing behind a table covered with a variety of items to assemble the gifts with, including playing cards and cigarettes. They are dressed in Red Cross nursing uniforms and each are packing gift bags.
