Texas National Guard maneuvers in Louisiana. Officers and men must keep up their appearances- even when bivouacked in Louisiana's pine trees, far away from ordinary life. Colonel William E. Lake of Marshall, Texas, who commands the One Hundred Forty-fourth Infantry Brigade, took time out to unpack his safety razor and shave.
