Description
Texas National Guard maneuvers in Louisiana. Soldiers get to be on intimate terms with the machine guns they use. They have to be able to assemble and disassemble the complex mechanism in a matter of seconds. Inspecting a gun against damage from moisture are (left to right) Sergeant C. F. Overly, First Lieutenant Ernest B. Hickey, and Sergeant Paul B. Hickey, all of Stephenville, Texas and members of Company D, One Hundred and Forty-second Infantry.
