The Odessa High School football team will face off against the Jefferson Mustangs (San Antonio, Texas) in the Texas State Championship in Austin, Texas. One of the key pieces to a Bronchos victory is the kicking unit. Offensive star quarterback Hayden Fry is the holder and back Bryon Townsend is the straight-on kicker (27). They are shown practicing an extra-point. Both players are dress in their football uniforms. The Odessa Bronchos went on to beat the Mustangs, winning the 1946 State Championship 21-14.
