Description

The bi-district high school match-up between the Mineral Wells Mountaineers (dark jerseys) and the Waco Tigers is being held Saturday in Mineral Wells, Texas. The winner of the game will advance to the quarterfinals. Tiger back Lon Griffith is shown running the ball for a ten yard gain. Mountaineer defenders Jack McWhorter (31) and Duane Grissett (41) are making the tackle at the seven-yard line. Several of their teammates are clustered around the play. The run set-up the Tiger touchdown a few plays later. The Waco Tigers went on to win 21-0.
