Description

Jeff D. Ray is celebrating his eighty-sixth birthday, Sunday. His recipe to living a long life is to "never be idle". His first job began seventy-five years ago as a farm hand. Since then, Mr. Ray has had many and varied jobs including preaching and teaching at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently works as a columnist at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, writing four columns a week. Mr. Ray is shown leaning back in his desk chair, telling stories from his busy life and smiling. He is dressed in a three-piece suit with a bow tie. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 24, 1946.
