Description
"Bluebonnet Belle," 800-pound baby hippopotamus, greeted a crowd Friday morning with the dignity becoming a celebrity after her arrival at Fort Worth Forest Park Zoo. She came from Memphis, Tennessee. Belle became the first hippo ever to fly via American Airlines. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 15, 1946.
