Crowds banked Main Street to view the first Fort Worth Armistice Day parade since war's end. Fort Worth Army Air Field bugler, Private Robert L. Shorman, standing on the review stand, sounded "Taps" at 11 am as the paraders faced west in tribute to those who died in the war.
