In the picture is "Wait on Curb for Green Signal" sign painted on downtown corners. Almost anywhere in the downtown area signs such as this served as reminders to pedestrians that cars seldom hit persons who stand on the burning until traffic signals change. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, October 29, 1946.
