Description

Hobart D. Fox is a veteran of both World Wars. He was giving the silver award by the American Military Engineers for his service in England and Africa during World War II. Mr. Fox is also former captain in the 343rd Engineer Regiment. He is a hydraulic engineer working with the U.S. Soil Conservation Service. He previously won the organization's gold award in 1940, which annually is given to an outstanding engineer. Mr. Fox received the silver award by mail from Colonel Franklin Bell of the Army Engineers in Washington. The award was made for conspicuous and meritorious service in engineering during the war. During World War I he was a private with duty in France. The citation is an engineering award made by the American Military Engineers, and organization whose members are in the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. Mr. Fox has worked on such national projects as the Grand Coulee Dam and Boulder Dam. He lives with his wife at 3216 Bristol Road.
