A group of Fort Worth nurses are waiting to board a special Army plane at Fort Worth Army Air Field bound for Omaha, Nebraska. The nurses will help fight a polio epidemic. Left to right, Mrs. Pauline Loflin, Mrs. Edna E. Nolte, Miss Betty C. Beard and Miss Helen Henson. The nurses were recruited by the Red Cross. They are wearing flight jumpsuits and are wearing or holding their personal accessories. They are sitting on their luggage and in the background is a plane.
