Phillips is one of the leading candidates for an outfield berth on the Industrial-Commercial league team in The Star-Telegram's annual all-star game at La Grave Field. He is one of the city's leading hitters. He is out on a baseball field, holding a baseball bat while kneeling down on his left knee. He is wearing his baseball uniform with "THE KIDS" written on the front of the jersey, and a baseball cap. Several trees are in the background.
