Description
J. Ernest Fender, vice president and general manager of the Acme Brick Company, affixing a poster indicating the business's participation in the National Guard assistance program to the door of its offices in the Neil P. Anderson building. The Acme Brick Company was one of the first Fort Worth, Texas, firms to volunteer its cooperation and participation in the assistance program. Fender is wearing a suit. The poster reads: We Are Co-operating In The / National Defense / We Employ Texas National Guardsmen / We Are Helping Them To Go to Field / Training or to Extended Service -- / As Our Country's Needs Direct / Their Jobs Will Be Waiting for Them!"
