    Description

    The "flying post office" is a demonstration flight from the west coast to the east coast in connection with inauguration of the five-cent stamp service. Working the mail, left to right, are Floyd Williams, M. A. Pence, and A. C. Hodges. Mr. Williams, of Washington, D. C., is the American Airlines director of airmail services. He is dressed in a dark suit. Mr. Pence, of New York City, New York, is the assistant airmail regional superintendent. He is wearing a dress shirt, necktie, and trousers. Mr. Hodges, of Fort Worth,Texas, is the regional airmail service superintendent. He is wearing a hat, button-up shirt, and trousers.
