Bill Bumgarner is a wing back on the North Side High School football team. He is the city's 100-yard dash champion and expects to be an important piece in the Steers' race to the 1946 state championship. Bumgarner is shown running the ball in practice. He is covering the ball with both arms to protect against a fumble. He is dressed in a number 69 football uniform.
