    Description

    The Congregation Ahavath Shomom will celebrate the Jewish new year, Rosh Hashanah, with chant services on Thursday and Friday, September 26 and 27. A special choir is organized for the services. In charge of the services is Cantor Abraham Friedman. Cantor Friedman is shown wearing religious clothing and headgear, holding a book and looking up. Behind him is a thick dark-colored drape with embroidered religious symbols of a crown and old testament tablets. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, September 22, 1946.
