The North Side High School football team will be a strong contender for the state play-offs in 1946. The Steers are preparing for their opening game Friday night against Adamson of Dallas, Texas. Their letterman, left to right, on the bottom row are Billy Butler, Alvin Williams, Glen Wood, Bobby Reid, and Yale Lary. On the second row, are Bobby Roper, Herbert Stone, Wallace Hooper, James Brewer, and Bill Bumgarner. On the top row are Wendell Poteet, Don Bidbary, Bob Vann, Doyle Reynolds, and Bob Easley.
