Description

The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) of Fort Worth, Texas held its annual business meeting and at the same time observed the 85th anniversary of the founding of the organization at a dinner at Central Methodist Church. Attendees included, left to right, national board members Mrs. Mirth W. Sherer and Mrs. F. M. Burkhead, and retiring president of the local board of directors, Mrs. Simon W. Freese. They are sitting at a dinner table and on the wall behind them is a world map. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 10, 1940.
