Description
Back in war work again, these women are knitting socks and sweaters for Finnish soldiers with the same needles they used in 1917 and 1918. They are left to right Mrs. E. B. Love, Mrs. Ida Blunt, and her daughter Mrs. E. H. Bursey. The fourth generation knitter in the Blunt family is three-year old R. E. Mitchell, the great-grandson of Mrs. Blunt. He is sitting on the floor, holding yarn for his busy elders. Mrs. Love, seventy-nine, is the dean of the World War knitting veterans. She is wearing a dress, sweater, and a cameo brooch. Mrs. Blunt, sixty-nine, is wearing a button-up blouse with a pleated skirt. Mrs. Bursey is wearing a dress with buttons along the front and a necklace.
