Description
The Fort Worth Cats hosted the Tulsa Oilers at LaGrave Field. Monty Basgall slid home with the winning run as the Cats edged out Tulsa, 3-2. The Oilers catcher, Leonard Greene, attempted to block the plate and apply the tag. Umpire Lou Smith crouched on the third base side of the plate, in perfect position to make the "safe" call. The winning run was set up by Jay Haney's bunt.
