Description
The Tarrant County Democratic Convention is holding a meeting at the First Baptist Church. Standing at the podium, left to right are P. M. Cordell, Brantley Pringle, and Doss Hardin. At the meeting Stewart Hellman was elected chairman by a margin of sixty votes over Ross Hardin. Mr. Cordell is protesting the Precinct 81 vote going to Hardin. He is wearing a shirt with cuffed sleeves, necktie, and trousers. Mr. Pringle, chairman, is noting the complaint and holding the microphone. He is dressed in a double breasted suit. Mr. Doss Hardin is Ross Hardin's twin brother. He is wearing a light-colored suit. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 5, 1946.
