Description

The annual meeting for Soil Conservation and Farm Management is being held in Hillsboro, Texas. About 500 farmers and business men are in attendance, including, left to right, John L. Mortimer, Luther Fuller and B. J. Baskin. Unexpected showers chased the convention from the football field into Doughty Hall. Mr. Mortimer is the director of public relations at U. S. Steel. He is dressed in a button-up shirt, necktie, and trousers. He is carrying a suit jacket and his hat. Mr. Fuller is a general farm product agent. He is wearing a dress shirt, necktie, and trousers. Mr. Baskin is a Texas farm product division agent. He is wearing a striped shirt, necktie, and trousers. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 22, 1946.
