Description

The annual meeting for Soil Conservation and Farm Management is being held in Hillsboro, Texas. About 500 farmers and business men are in attendance, including, left to right, W. C. Davis, Al Williams, and Sterling C. Evans. Unexpected showers chased the convention from the football field into Doughty Hall. Mr. Davis, of Hillsboro, is the chairman of the agriculture committee. He is wearing a striped dress shirt, necktie, and trousers. Mr. Williams, of Hillsboro, is president of the Chamber of Commerce. He is wearing a button-up shirt, necktie, and trousers. Mr. Evans, of Houston, Texas, is president of the Houston Federal Land Bank. He is dressed in a double breasted suit. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 22, 1946.
