Description

The Women's Auxiliary is participating in a program to provide cigarettes for veterans. Collecting cigarettes, left to right are Miss Vera Balentine, Roy Ames, and Mrs. Ruth Ayres. On Wednesday afternoon, they presented cigarettes to 400 patients at the Dallas Veterans Hospital. Miss Balentine is wearing a hat and a silk blouse. Mr. Ames is a member of the Military Order of the Cootie, United States Grand of Texas. He is dressed in a hat, button-up shirt and trousers. Mrs. Ayres is Auxiliary president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V. F. W.). She is wearing a hat, button-up blouse, and a skirt.
