Musician's Musician -- Ray Bass, sax player in Hotel Texas Den orchestra, was on hand Thursday to greet Woody Herman, top swing bandleader who will play his farewell date Friday night at Lake Worth Casino. Both musicians (Ray Bass, right and Woody Herman, left) are shown seated on a small table, laughing and looking at each other. They are dressed well, Ray is holding a saxophone. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 5, 1946.
