Money For Monroe -- George Saam, secretary of the Exchange Club, presents a check for thirty dollar ($30) to Monroe Odom, veteran news vender who is recuperating from an appendectomy he underwent three weeks ago. The money was collected among club members. . Odom is shown in his bed and Mr. Saam is sitting next to the bed handing him the check. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 3, 1946.
