Singles Champ -- Dr. Fred West of Fort Worth won the men's singles title of the sectional tennis meet Sunday by defeating Jack Smith of Fort Worth, 6-1, 6-2, 6-0. He was runnerup last year. Dr. West is pictured here. He is sitting on a bench with his tennis racket and wiping his head with a towel in his left hand. He is holding his trophy in his right hand. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 1, 1946.
