Meadowbrook Miss -- Patsy Heard, 12-year-old Meadowbrook pupil, won the girs' singles crown of the sectional tennis event Sunday. She defeated Gloria Duncan of Corpus Christi in the finals. Patsy is pictured here. She is holding her trophy, smiling and posing for the camera. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 1, 1946.
