Description

Fort Worth Cat manager, Ray Hayworth, with prospective ball players. They are, left to right, Joe Duffield of Mineral Wells, Texas; Hayworth; Dale Peden, Sundown, Texas; and Doyl Conrad, Fort Worth, Texas. The prospective ball players are the most promising 18-year-olds uncovered at the tryouts. They will compete with other Texas youths for a trip to the Brooklyn Dodgers.
