Description
The Beaumont Exporters faced off against the Fort Worth Cats Wednesday night at LaGrave Field. The hottest argument came in the top of the sixth inning when Ralph Houk, catcher for Beaumont, was called out at the plate by umpire Lou Smith. Cats' catcher George Pfister had the throw from outfielder Jake Phillips well before Houk, who tried to score from second on a single. Pfister blocked the plate and the picture was snapped after the sliding Houk was tagged.
