Description
The Fort Worth Cats and the Houston Buffaloes brought a game tied at two to the bottom of the ninth. Boris "Butch" Woyt was standing on third base when Houston's second baseman Emmett Mueller caught a pop fly to the back of first base. Woyt tagged up and raced home. His speed and perfect slide avoided the tag from lunging Houston catcher Joe Niedson. Umpire Perry Hunter didn't hesitate in waving Woyt "safe" in the Cats' walk-off win.
