Trans-Atlantic Wedding - Despite the 5,500 mile separation, Emma Elizabeth Weatherly, married Lieutenant Dwight L. Baker, in a telephone wedding from Fort Worth, Texas to Frankfurt, Germany. The ceremony was performed by Lieutenant Baker's father, Reverend W. D. Baker at their home. Bill Baker, the bridegroom's brother, stood by to read the benediction. Miss Weatherly is standing next to a bookcase holding the telephone receiver. She is wearing a floral dress. There is a picture of Lieutenant Baker on the bookcase. Reverend Baker is wearing a light-colored suit. He is holding a telephone in one hand as he reads from the Bible. Bill Baker is standing behind them, dressed in a suit.
