    Smiley Rowland, host pro for the Glen Garden Invitation held at the Glen Garden Country Club, tested the newly conditioned greens. Glen Garden Country Club is where Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson met and learned the game of golf as caddies in the 1920s. Mr. Rowland is wearing a driving cap, button-up shirt, trousers, and golf shoes. He is kneeling on the ground holding the flag.
