    Description

    The flag. which will be furled after the Service Men's center closes Wednesday night at Hotel Texas, gets a parting salute. The soldier is Staff Sergeant (Sgt.) William Saunders, Middletown, Connecticut. Sergeant (Sgt.) Saunders is wearing a military uniform as he salutes to the American Flag at the lobby of Hotel Texas. He is being transferred here from March Field, California. Six years in the service, he was overseas 33 months. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, May 14, 1946.
