Description
The building at 500, Houston, erected about 1880, is to be torn down to make way for a new three-story section of Monnig's, now expanding to include the entire block bounded by Houston, Fifth, Throckmorton and Fourth. The building and business, Cut Rate Drug Company, has several close-out signs on its window. There are lamp posts at the corner of the streets. There are tall buildings in the background that make up for the Fort Worth skyline. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 21, 1946.
