    Description

    Oaklawn School group who contributed a donation to the Baby Hippo fund. Three children from that group are pictured here. From left to right, are Carolyn Jane Craig, Richard Taylor and Frances Skelton. Carolyn is wearing a button-up coat and trousers. Richard is wearing shirt, trousers and belt. Frances is wearing a dress, a necklace with a heart-shaped pendant. For two weeks, the children and their teacher had planned the hot dog picnic to help raise money for the fund. The picnic was rained out but the children collected money indoors and raised a sum of $1.10. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 15, 1946.
