Jay Bonds, 4-year-old Hicks Ranch cowboy, stretches way up on his tiptoes to reach Star-Telegram cashier window to donate a sum to the Baby Hippo Fund. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Bonds. He is wearing western clothes with a belt and necktie. His tie has a steer-head embroidery. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 14, 1946.
